Tanjong Pagar Adventure

So not long ago, I went to Tanjong Pagar to have lunch with my food gurus girls :D Though there were only 4 out of 8 of us present, it was still a nice short meet up :) 

Initially, we wanted to try Department of Caffeine however there was a super long queue since it was a weekend and we had to wait so long, so we hopped over to Group Therapy instead! Also, there weren't much variety to choose from the D.O.C menu so we went to Group Therapy. Group Therapy has slightly more variety but still quite little. 3 of us ended up ordering the same thing lol.

We also strolled around Tanjong Pagar and the place is really nice! You can also see from the pictures~

Oops!! Obscene! OH YES!! Like all our outings, we have theme!! And that day was checkered!! AWESOME :D Told ya we are damn steady one, #squadgoals #friendshipgoals #cliquegoals Beat that :'D That was actually our 4th themed outing, we had floral, xmas, rainbow one previously. Keke have to think of more ideas for the upcoming ones :D

We all just really like that place. Definitely one of the nicest place in Singapore? :) Looking forward to our Vday gathering :D So it's not true that vday is a must to be spent with your bf/gf, it is actually a friendship day as well, don't forget!

Oh yah also chatted with them about tuition assignments that we took up as a part time job. And my friend was asking if I'm interested to take up another assignment from her haha but nahhhhh, 2 is enough for me. It's enough to feed me and for me to save, it's enough for my life's timetable haha. We also talked about her friend taking up sooooo many assignments but was quite slack in the way she teaches her kids. Hmmm... to me it's better to take up fewer and teach them properly because you take their parent's money so you have the responsible to teach them well. 

Also, to me I feel that taking up tuition assignment during my uni life is sort of an extra thing so I can continue to feed myself and save up and not take money from my parents. (I've stop taking $ from them since J2/after J2 because I can pay for myself since then :D) It's an extra thing so I would not take up such a high level tuition like psle and above cause by then I will have to use my brains more while teaching them like as if I'm not already racking my brains enough for my university. Also, I wouldn't have to feel bad for not being able to answer their questions.

So yep, I'm so glad for my P1 and P3 tuition assignments cause I don't have to use my brain so much and then I made friends with them, like they make me laugh all the time, kids are happy pills indeed :) So far I've been looking forward to teach my P3 boy even after 6 months cause we seriously got so many jokes and things to laugh at tgt, gosh!! We even have our own language hahahaha!!! :D Guess I'll be sticking to them for quite some time :) Earning extra bucks in the happiest and least stressful way possible, a big bonus or what? :D 

Really glad for my own choices when friends complain to me that they dread going tuition or they have problematic kids, etc. If you are looking for money > satisfaction/happiness from your tuition assignments then ok lah no comments haha but to me happiness from my work is very important cause I'll be more willing to teach and the money I receive will make me happier as well though lower primary kids' rates are lower but enough for me to eat a lot and shop haha! I'm a thrifty person :P

Heartache

Just came back from visiting two people at the hospital on the same day, sigh. One of them is my relative and the other one is none other than my baby boy :( It was sucha sudden operation but he should be fine already. Luckily, it was just a minor one. Was totally shocked when he told me he just had an operation after me spamming him texts the whole afternoon during his checkup period. This boy really loves to make me worry, tskkkkkk! But it was not his fault cause he couldn't even use his phone then :( I was worry sick and couldn't even pay attention in school. Called for a cab and immediately rushed down to the hospital to see him, heart pain was all i felt. 

Looking at him lying on the bed, couldn't move much due to the pain, etc. His parents, his friends and even my parents went to visit him at different timings, haha like taking turns. Glad that his friends made him laughed and also laughed at him to make the atmosphere less serious. Hahah i had a great time laughing as well. However, everytime they leave the ward, he would turn to me with his tired and sad face, calling out to me and I could even see tears welling up in his eyes but he would always close them in time before it even had the chance to roll down. What else would i feel other than heartache? And when i lamented that he didn't tell me whatever happened today specifically, he just said that he don't want me to worry and make sobs sounds.... sigh how to be mad at him? Without doubts, i cried as well. Infront of him and in the toilet, so sad!!! :( Sometimes really detest my incapability to hold back my tears.... He is so silly, I guess he was just traumatised and scared by this first time encounter with the ambulance + operation. How i wish i could stay with him in the hospital tonight but yah ofc cannot lah, furthermore, he is going to be discharged tmr! Hopefully he will pass the scan and get discharged tmr if not i know he is gonna be sad again and i hate that. 

Looking at all the sick patients in the hospital, it just made my heart ache as usual. Not only are the patients suffering in some ways, their loved ones are also suffering emotionally. In the end, nothing is more important than health. When it comes to his health I'm always very particular, haha you can asked him and he will say I'm always nagging at him but that's because his health is my main priority in the relationship. Or rather his health and his happiness. I can give up mine as long as he is safe and happy. This is not me being magnanimous or kind but you will feel me when you are in love to a deeper extent. I feel like we have overcame so many obstacles, been on quite a few emotional roller coasters tgt and crossed so many milestones tgt. We seldom quarrel so all those obstacles and emotional roller coasters were not about our relationship but rather personal ones that we chose to face them tgt, to support each other through hard and dark times. It feels like we are so old tgt already and these experiences are what kept us tgt. I love him for everything and definitely not due to that familiarity for being in the relationship for quite long already. Whenever I'm serious mad at him, I'll ponder that I have so many choices and chances out there  so why not leave? Since alot of couples out there made leaving each other look so simple..... however, I can't help it but to find myself back to him again. He is my ultimate choice till date and hopefully all the way till the future. 

Sorry for the sudden blabberings and thoughts. Right now all i care about is to receive good news from him that he can discharge tmr. Rest well my beloved, iloveyousomuchhhhhh! I'll always be there for you :') 

Priorities

Came across this on twitter and hey wow! Totally speaks my mind! 

But this doesn't mean all of you should throw your books aside.

It's just different for everyone, different priorities.

I kinda live by this? Ok not live so serious but I kinda have that mindset?

Perhaps cause I'm not very smart hahaha (shutup) so I don't get as much fulfillment out of this whole education system/journey as compared to other smartypants. But somehow god is always fair? He will compensate something good for something bad of yours. My academic area is not awesome but I  can say I have quite a beautiful life :) Haha! 

(Ok by god, I'm referring to my buddhist god or just any powerful "person" above lah haha) 

And at the end of the day, while people may be discussing about their how wow their academic grades are and how far their grades have brought them to, I may be just here talking about how great my life is. Talking about the different places I've explored in Singapore or out of Singapore, talking about the different experiences I had, talking about my different types relationships(family,friends,love) with people, talking about every other things except academics haha!! Quite pathetic but not quite so if you think about what you have actually done in your life that's outside of studies! For me, I would prefer a wow life outside of studies cause I'm not study material lah. This doesn't mean you are lousy or whichever, it just means you know how to live your life HAHAHAHA cheh.

I used to dislike people who will not turn up for gatherings just because they have to do their homework etc. (referring to those gatherings with close friends and not those with acquaintances/school friends) But hmm, I shouldn't dislike that because everyone has different priorities and I should learn to respect that. 

Everything sure happens for a reason and whatever you have or don't have definitely have a reason as well. Eventually, you will end up at the rightful place.

I have a habit of striking off the date on my planner after every day haha do you do that too?? :P 

Looking at my planner, my weekends are so occupied, like all the way till March you know?!

Keke and oops, not even including time for my boy and it's already packed lol! 

Because of this, I have to be disciplined enough to try to finish my tutorials during the week days and especially Friday when I have no school!!! MUST MUST MUST!!!

11 more weeks to end of Year 1!!! 

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

Heyyo!

Oh hi there "diary", it has been long since I last chatted with you. HAHA ok sounds retarded!! :P 

So! Quite a few events have already happened in the first few weeks of 2015 :) 

I attended the first 21st bday party of 2015! I believe there are more to come haha!

Adelynn's (the pretty girl at the bottom right) 21st! :) I have to start thinking how am I gonna hold my 21st bday party as well.

So glad to have caught up with the jc friends and teacher!! :) 

It was superrrrrr breezy that night at Marina Barrage! Would love to go there someday in the afternoon and also at night!

Next, I attended his cousin's wedding! It was a pretty cool one cause the groom is of quite a high rank in the army I think so there were some marching and sword performances LOL! 

Can't wait to attend my cousin's one next month! I'm gonna be one of her bridesmaids wahaha so I get to come up with ideas to bully the groom before he can reach my cousin who is the bride! Wheeeeeee not forgetting my cousin is damn pretty?!?! No kidding. My another cousin showed me her wedding pictures and I was still thinking which celebrity is that, totally didn't think that she was my cousin hahah! Pro!

Also, attended my beloved's POP!!! :) Yay, 2 months are over for him! The whole ceremony was kinda interesting, I like the "dance" most! I posted it on facebook :)

MORNING FACEEEEEE YAWNSSSS!!! Reached there at like 7am +

His parent's couldn't make it so I sort of asked my parents to accompany me there if not I've to go there alone, so awkz and lonely haha!! My mom wanted to go see see as well since she said she don't have a son so she won't have the chance to attend a pop, LOL. 

Yes it pains me to see that he had definitely lost some weight but army what, no choice! :( Always proud of you :) It seemed like I've been through a lot of milestones with him and I'm thankful that I get to grow up with him :')

Oh yah many also asked if he was smelly, HAHA! But surprisingly he not smelly AT ALL leh! Only sweaty and they looked at me in disbelief as if like I bluff them. Haha but he really not smelly at all. I can smell the other people's odour though. Teehee but it's true that my beloved is always very xiang one! :P

Silly lovable boy :) Now, he's on to his new army vocation as an Artillery Gunner! Sounds pro? Haha but heard that it is very hiong, sigh don't want him to lose more weight and be sick again! Hopefully he will up his pes and go command school. That's what he told me haha. I've never pushed him to be an officer or whichever because I guess they are the ones who are going through army and whatever decisions should be made by them? They are the ones "suffering" and if they are not enjoying army and just wanna faster end it then it's no point to force them to go for higher ranks. Though it will be good if they wanna achieve something for themselves out of this 2 years of army :) 

& then there were many other small events here and there and AHEM!!! School has started again........ semester 2...... zzz.

I'm so stressed about school even though it has just started because I know that either I make it or I break it for semester 2. I really need to pull up my socks and get that particular gpa you know you know!??! If not I'm in deep shit lol. That's why I'm so stressed about school and nothing about school or any happy thing related to school or whoever in school can make me happy/smile when I'm in school. Hahaha school school school LOL. It's just a very stressful and threatening place to me. I don't look like I'm stressed cause who wants to look like that? And if people asked, it will totally make me feel x100 more worse than what I'm already feeling. So please, just don't ask :) I know that I have to work my ass off for this semester and really can't joke about it but hmm..... I can foresee that the modules are gonna get tougher as weeks go by. I hope and I hope and I hope that I can manage and please just let me do well :( Really desperate! Saying is so easy, thinking is so easy but the effing thing about doing that is so hard. ARGH!!! Just have to jiayou already, nobody can help me but myself. Hahaha!!! Thankful for my boy who is capable of making me forget all my sorrows and worries temporarily and just making me happy without much effort. Always looking forward to the weekends to free myself alil' and to seek solace and happiness from him.

May this semester be smooth-sailing and fast! I know it will be damn fast, even faster than last sem cause there are a lot of events this sem, like cny is one haha! So just have to tahan and then I will be going overseasssssssssss yay!!! :P Can't wait keke! :)

Staycation @ Parc Sovereign Hotel Tyrwhitt

WOOHOO!!! 

I'm gonna post about the first staycation at a hotel with my food gurus! :) It happened last year, haha, so weird to call 2014 last year... Yup, we had staycation on 30 dec 2014! It was for us to countdown to the last day of 2014 together. Everytime people see "countdown to the last day" they thought is countdown to 2015, aiyoyoy!! Read properly haha! Yup, we are special right? And smart too, cause 31 dec is surely spent with family for the countdown so spending time on 30 dec is the best choice :)

 I sourced for a cheap and nice hotel for our staycation and the Parc Sovereign Hotel came up, and woohoo it was cheap + 4 stars + has a nice swimming pool!! :) It's like a mini mbs infinity pool concept where you can have a good view except that the view is not very nice, mostly like construction sites and old buildings? HAHA! But still nice okay, got the sky! This hotel is located at Lavender mrt station and it was my first time being there? And I quite like it, it's like there are many eateries everywhere and living in a hotel there is really convenient and so not ulu/scary at night! Also, you won't need to be afraid of being hungry any time, there are like so many coffee shops, fast food restaurants, ntuc, 7/11, finger food stalls, etc. WOW :) 

So first up, we met up for lunch at The Tiramisu Hero, a very cozy and cute cafe :) Would really love to go back there :)

All the drawings were drawn by the owners themselves and one of them has the same name as me HAHA! The cafe has a cat theme haha and the idea is from their cafe cat which will roam outside the cafe (I think) but that day we didn't see it, mehhhh....

Even their menu is so super adorbs!!!!! Love all the pictures! If you love cute stuffs, you can check out this cafe lol. Why am I doing free advertising for them? Nvm, sharing is caring :P They have lots of promotions going on so after ordering our mains, we had a bowl of truffle mac & cheese + coffee + momma hero (their tiramisu) for free! :) 

Their wooden furniture make the cafe so much cozier and homely. 

And our mains :) 2 mega big breakfast, 2 lunch set meals, 1 creamy salmon. I had the mega breakfast and it's really mega haha was so full from it and my friend couldn't even finish it. Bad thing about it is that we don't like the 2 sausages, weird taste? Other than that, all our dishes were not bad :)

Yes our Momma Hero, we chose the Lavender lemon one, if i didnt remember the name wrongly. And it's nice and refreshing :) Everything's so cute and we had a fun time! Haha oh yes, it was the xmas season so we got a free xmas gift for spending over $60? and we got shot glasses lol!

If you didn't already realise, our theme that day was RAINBOW!! :P Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet. Purple(violet) and Orange weren't present at that time cause they joined us in the evening haha!! It is hard to find Indigo so my friend wore Navy Blue ^.

We looked super happy here hahahah!!

 Hehe so glad that we are always so steady in themes and surprisingly we are very organised in our plans and everything. When every single "member" in the clique participates in the discussion and planning of outings, things will definitely turn out awesome and happy!!! :D THANKFUL <3

Next, we checked in to our hotel which is like a stone's throw away from the cafe! Talk about convenience.

Using selfie stick like tourists!! HAHA. Customer service was good and we got a complimentary room upgrade to a deluxe one :)

It's like this. Though room was kinda small but it's value for price. Bigger room = more expensive. Fair enough!

Living da life yoz!

& we spammed taking pictures and resting in the hotel for awhile before heading to the swimming pool cause the weather was perfect!!! :D

From google as well. This is a shot of a part of the pool! Nice right?? There are a lot of relaxing seats around and a few swinging chairs. Just very chill feeling :) But it was so cold at that time cause it was very breezy lol! I was shivering in the pool lol and it was kinda too shallow for me to swim properly cause my legs kept knocking onto the floor but my friends could still swim.....hmmm woe of having longer legs? HAHA :P

We took so many nice and crazy pictures and videos with R's waterproof phone but the phone is having some problems now so the pictures and videos cant be retrieved boohoo!!! :( Hope the phone will be ok soon!

After swimming for like 2 hours or so, we went up to bathe and went Bugis to meet the purple and orange girls for dinner. 

Had a simple dinner, bought some apple cider and then back to our hotel!!!!!!!!

Played Saboteur!! A new game to most of us and it's quite fun though it was quite HUH at first haha!!

Then we headed to Chomp Chomp for supper!! DELICIOUS :P Me and my 2 other friends shared the sambal stingray and sotong, shiokyyyy. The rest had popiah :) Uber is the way to go haha free rides to and fro :P IF YOU HAVENT TAKE YOUR FIRST RIDE, PLEASE USE MY CODE "peggyt48"!!! Back to our hotel to drink apple cider! We bought 4 to share among 6 and I had like 1 to myself aiyo, and in the end didn't finish the 4 LOL. Left half of one bottle untouched.

Traffic light! :D So apparently, we stayed up and played monopoly deal till like 3am+ and went to sleep afterwards! 6 of us managed to squeeze on 1 big bed haha! 

Next day we checked out at 11+ and headed to have our brunch at Paddington House of pancakes :)

YUMYUM!!! 

Had a really fun time with the girls and am excited for more upcoming ones in 2015 teehee!!! Love them so much and I'm always thankful to have met them in JC!
