Happy Chinese New Year 2015

These few days school was kinda tiring and hectic thus the lack of updates and everytime I use the comp, I've more important things to do like assignments :(

So fast and cny is coming to an end but ended for me!! :( Cny lasts for 15 days so it will actually ends on this thursday! But weekdays how to celebrate/play? So mine ended yesterday, day 11.
I'm too lazy to write down what I did throughout, so let's just let the pictures do the talking :D

As usual for the past 1234567890 years of cny haha, our big family will head to Kukup to celebrate! Because there is more cny atmosphere over there with the continuous and never-ending fireworks and firecrackers sound!! :D And also, we are a super noisy bunch so we have to go to a place where there will be no complaints and police haha and kukup is like the best nearest place!! :D

CNY EVE

We arrived at Kukup on the eve and were super surprised at the renovations and upgrading done to "our house"! We were so sadddd that the wooden planks were gone and were upgraded to proper floor! We were complaining that we want the wood and the old house back, so funny! Hahhaha!! The house last time just got more kampong feel and it's something that we cherish a lot! :(
I feel that some places should really preserve the old buildings/culture!! sobsob

Lunch there when we reached!! :) As usual, cousins one table haha! This year we had fewer people so there were only 3 tables if not we can have up to 4 tables! And after that for the whole day we just sang karaoke, spammed photos and fool around!!

All the cousins who are below 24 years old!!! <3

Yes, he likes to do all these stunts lol, you will see more later. and yes he got a lot of strength cause he is a giant monster!!!!!

The girls forming the word KUKUP and the guys formed some vulgarities...

When it was night time we went to jot down our wishes on the sky lanterns and released them together WOOHOO :D

& then grandparents gave out angbaos and we all had to queue up from youngest to oldest to collect! Not forgetting we had to say out several cny greetings to them before we can collect!! Look at the evil adults laughing away~~~ I mean it will be pointless to just take the angbao from anyone and just say thank you? It's just within us to say some cny greetings to anyone who gives us angbao! Somemore, angbao is just a gesture lah, it's not so important in cny for us! It's the time spent tgt and the fun we had that matters most :D  Awwww <3

Then we went to the temple nearby to play with the firecrackers, etc!! Cause this year the police are catching people who play with these stuffs and fining them  RM7000. Mad.... so we played safe and put them off at the temple but actually a lot of other ppl also got play at their resorts and nth happened.

Cousins in our pajamas!!

The ladies!!! :D

There are so many photos but obviously I can't upload them all if not it will be like a never-ending post :P

CNY DAY 1

Everyone was clad in their respective family's colour! :P Tradition ok but every year will be different colour for us lah obviously. Except that the purple and pink families are kinda for every year hahaha cause it's the fav colour of the mother in that family and the rest of us dont want to wear their colour as well HAHA

THE BLUE!

THE RED!

THE PURPLE! (there are more people but not there)

THE PINK!

Yes, purple and pink are one family but daughter married mah so got own family as well. My another girl cousin also got married recently so she had to celebrate the cny with the male's family. so sad right.... next time I get married I also have to spend first few days of cny with the male's side sob.... :(

Taking a break after braving the heat from the scorching weather for our photos ahhaha!! All very steady one!! ^^
Then the whole day we were just playing and gambling! Not forgetting the breakfast>lunch>teabreak>dinner>supper routine, so shiok ok! Like free flow of food plus drinks KEKE!

LOU HEI AT NIGHT where all the food were flying everywhere ahaha!!

For us, we didn't even eat much cause not very yummy ah... alot of veggie lol! So food fight! :P Later we had steamboaty!!!

Continued with gambling till quite late at night and fought over supper HAHA!

Such colourful and cute paus for supper keke!! The green mantous were the best though :P

CNY DAY 2

We were leaving kukup and going back to singapore that day!!

My mafia grandpa and cousin :)

TILL THE NEXT TIME KUKUP!! :)
Not sure if we will be heading back there next year due to the different feel this year cause of the upgrading and the firecrackers fine. Boohoo bad bad!!

Hope you guys had a wonderful cny as well hehe! :)
I believe cny is a festival for families to bond tgt and especially if you will only see your relatives and cousins on cny, then it is more important to cherish cny and to interact with them. Also, it should totally be spent with your family on the first few important days!! Since all year round we will be busy with our own things, some people may not even be home often or people may not even see and talk to their parents everyday so cny is period for us to spend with them and "compensate". I spent all days with my family, relatives and cousins hehe though all year round I'm still seeing my relatives and cousins very often! :D
Without them, what's cny?!!?!?
xoxo
